Faculty member receives “Great Ohio Nurse” recognition
Beth Hamon, Professor of Nursing (seen above during a mission trip to Honduras), was recognized as one of “100 Great Ohio Nurses” by the Ohio Nurses Association and the Ohio Nurses Foundation.
The list of “100 Great Ohio Nurses” for 2019 appeared in the April issue of the publication The Ohio Nurse.
Beth was nominated by a colleague who wrote, “Beth teaches safety and professionalism first, and the focus is always on critically thinking about what the patient NEEDS. She not only holds her student’s hands, she helps them to learn how to hold their patient’s.”
The nomination continued, “Beth has shared her knowledge and experience with multiple new faculty as they move from novice towards expert in their new field of teaching.”
Health and Public Safety Division Dean Dr. Janelle McCord said, “We are proud to have great faculty like Beth, who are passionate about sharing their expertise with their students and colleagues, and do so because it is who they are.”
