Health and Public Safety Division
The Health and Public Safety division provides associate’s degree programs and certificate programs to educate and train health and public safety personnel.
In affiliation with area hospitals, health care agencies, and fire service organizations, the division’s programs offer clinical and experiential learning opportunities that prepare students to seek employment in their chosen field immediately following graduation.
When available, the division’s programs are accredited or approved by appropriate professional bodies.
In partnership with Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center, the division offers several programs and special courses, as well as workshops and seminars. These programs allow participants to learn new skills or to update knowledge and skills needed to perform effectively on the job.
The division’s Biological Sciences department offers courses to meet Health and Public Safety program needs and to support science requirements for students earning associate’s degrees who plan to continue bachelor’s degree studies after graduation from Cincinnati State.
