Media Advisory
NKU, Cincinnati State to sign articulation agreement Nov. 19
Cincinnati State President O’dell M. Owens and Northern Kentucky University President Geoffrey S.
Mearns will sign a comprehensive academic agreement at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19. The ceremony
will be held in Room 342 Main (the Conference Center) at Cincinnati State’s Clifton campus.
The agreement is the most comprehensive to date between the two institutions. The overriding goal is to
produce a smooth pathway for students at Cincinnati State who graduate with an associate’s degree and
wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree at NKU.
The agreement is designed to allow students to take advantage of resources at both schools. For
example:
It provides concurrent enrollment at NKU for Cincinnati State students who are in designated
pathways.
It gives students in pathway programs access to NKU campus services while still at Cincinnati
State.
It gives Cincinnati State students on-campus access to visiting NKU academic advisors.
Further details concerning the agreement will be released during the event.
