Overview

The Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant Certificate 2 meets the educational requirements for the State of Ohio Renewable Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) credential. Coursework includes counseling and interviewing techniques, ethics in addiction treatment, and relapse prevention and treatment.

Prior to beginning the CDCA2 Certificate, students must hold their CDCA PRE credential. Students must hold the CDCA PRE for a minimum of 10 months, but no more than 13 months, before applying for the CDCA Renewable credential.
