CState celebrated the once-in-a-lifetime eclipse

On April 8, 2024, throughout Clifton Campus, members of the College community gathered and looked up at the sky. And even though the campus view of the eclipse was only 99 percent of totality, and lacked a full corona, it was a phenomenon that was worth more than just a passing glance.
About 100 eclipse-watchers joined the party–complete with total eclipse cookies–on the 6th floor of the Central Parkway Garage or found other prime locations for viewing
Cincinnati State alumnus and adjunct instructor Ethan Armstrong used a total station survey instrument and solar filter, placed at the Central Parkway campus entrance, to follow the progression of the eclipse.
