Civil Engineering – Surveying program wins award

Cincinnati State’s Civil Engineering Technology – Surveying program was one of the recipients of the 2018 Presidential Merit Award presented by the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio at their conference held Feb. 20-23, 2019, in Columbus, Ohio.

The award recognizes colleges and universities that are “preparing the next generation of surveyors to enter the profession” and “have made strides this year to continue to promote and encourage land surveying in Ohio.”

Civil Engineering Technology Program Chair Carol Morman said Cincinnati State’s award recognized efforts to establish a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Land Surveying at Cincinnati State.

The bachelor’s degree proposal has been approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Approval is pending from the Higher Learning Commission.
