Cincinnati State to host Ohio Veterans and Small Business Showcase
Cincinnati State will host an “Ohio Veterans and Small Business Opportunity Showcase” on Thursday, July 23.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Conference Center (Main 342-346) in the Main Building at the Clifton campus.
The Ohio Veterans and Small Business Opportunity Showcase is designed to reinforce support to the veteran-owned business and small business communities.
Participants include the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), headquartered in Washington, D.C. The organization provides businesses, especially Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs), the chance to learn how to increase their presence in the state and federal marketplaces.
The July 23 conference will include business opportunity sessions open to all small businesses interested in learning about state and federal commercial opportunities specific to their industry, and networking tables affording small businesses the opportunity to outline how they can help customers by discussing their business capabilities directly with state and federal contracting officers.
Cincinnati State President O’dell M. Owens will introduce Col. Timothy C. Gorrell, Director of the Ohio Department of Veteran Services, at the event.
Linda Schaffeld, Acting Dean, Business Technologies Division, will be one of the featured speakers.
