Cincinnati State Workforce Development Center helps healthcare professionals throughout the region become and remain both competent and competitive in the delivery of quality patient care in areas such as acute care, home health care, long-term care, and residential facilities. Some programs can be directly applied to degree and advanced certifications.

Offering short-term credentials and certifications, customized training, and assessments, we train face-to-face either on our campus or at your site. We also provide a combination of online and hybrid (face-to-face and online) learning options.

Medical Assisting Apprenticeship

Cincinnati State’s Medical Assisting Apprenticeship is a corporate-led partnership. Students in this program must be sponsored by an established healthcare employer.

State-Tested Nurse Aide

Cincinnati State’s State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) training program provides the skills needed to care for residents in a long–term care facility. Students practice skills in a simulated lab and then apply learned skills during clinical rotation, all under the guidance of Registered Nurse (RN) instructors. Nurse Aide training is part of the Nursing career pathway, and students may progress toward their LPN and RN certifications.

Online Learning

WDC partners with online learning platforms to help bring convenient and flexible courses that fit our student’s demanding schedules. Through these partnerships, online courses such as Pharmacy Technician, Medical billing and coding, and many more are available for enrollment.
