Financial Aid & Scholarships
Financial aid for your investment in education

Cincinnati State is committed to a high quality education at an affordable price, and we offer financial aid to those who qualify.
There are many types of financial aid available, such as grants, loans, and work-study. Cincinnati State also offers institutional and Honors scholarships.
What must you do to be considered for financial aid?
To be considered for financial aid:
- You must complete the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA).
- You must be admitted to an eligible degree program or to certain certificate-granting programs.
- You must keep yourself informed concerning various terms and conditions of receiving aid, especially those concerning satisfactory academic progress, and must meet those conditions. It is the student’s responsibility to know, understand, and observe these policies.
- You must reapply for federal/state aid every year. January 1 of each year is the earliest time to begin filing for financial aid assistance at fafsa.ed.gov.
For full details, see How to Apply for Financial Aid.
What are the important deadlines for financial aid?
Don’t be left out. Submit your FAFSA by the priority deadline of February 15. That is the application deadline for full consideration for all forms of financial aid. FAFSA applications completed after the February 15 deadline will be considered based upon the availability of funds.
Check the details of any scholarships or grants you are interested in to determine their deadlines. Some have March 1 or April 1 deadlines.
